I'm in shape.... round is a shape.

Tonight I went to the Cardio Kickboxing class at my gym. That was a classic moment. I almost died! Let's just say that if I were ever to get jumped on the street, I would sure hope that 3 uppercut punches would save my life.... because after that I'm gasping for air (let's not even get started on the side kicks). I guess the gangsta lifestyle is going to have to wait. Anyways... I was pretty knocked out (pun intended) when I left the gym today and I felt pretty pathetic since it was only like 30 minutes of rigorous physical activity.

So to make myself feel better, I went home and had some cake. Just kidding! I was too tired to take the tupperware lid off. *Ba dum bum*

I got nothing... I swear I'll post about the wedding as soon as I get more time. But for now, just know that it pretty much kicked ass and you so wish you were there.   Actually, I bet the only people who actually read this were there.. so, um, scratch that.

Peace out, mo-fos.

Mega Millions...my ass!

I should be smart enough to know that it's stupid to put money into a lottery pool. After taking probability courses at Bucknell, one would think that I would understand that the lottery and random number picking almost never gets anything in return.

I threw in some money into a pool at work.. just for the soul reason that I was gonna feel like a complete ass if I passed up the opportunity and then all of my co-workers won millions and left the company. Then I'd be stuck in my stupid cubicle as they all sip margaritas next to their new olympic size pool at their mansion. It's my competitive nature I guess and I jumped on the bandwagon.

Chances of winning the Mega Millions Jackpot = 1 in 135,145,920
26 people x $5 = 130 chances to win.
Our winnings = $4.00
My share = 15.4 cents.

Since I'm capable of doing that math and seeing how ridiculous the chances really are, one would hope that I'd be smart enough not to join AGAIN.

Probability of me entering the lottery pool again = 93% out of fear that once I get out of the pool, it will be the 1 time in 135,145,920 that they actually win.

I'm such a sucker.

Holiday Fun (Part 2)

So it's a little late. But I couldn't skip over it or else I wouldn't hear the end of it from Greegore.

Anyways,  I don't think I did much more over the holiday break that I didn't write about. There was much drama over where to spend NYE, but I really wanted to go out since I haven't really done anything  particulary exciting for NYE since I turned 21. So we decided on heading to Jillian's for the evening. Got the usual suspects with us - Greg, L-Mac, and Sean.

We spent the night playing racing games, shooting games, and virtual bowling since all of the real bowling lanes were full. Lauren went on the hunt for the perfect Long Island Iced Tea. Sean had better luck than Lauren did and also had to finish all of L's rejections. In total, Sean probably had about 8 LITs. But he wasn't the only who got their money's worth at the bar... everyone was very happy that night.   My mom commented that she could tell we were having a good time from the very rowdy and slurred message we left on her answering machine after midnight.

We all woke up the next morning starting 2005 feeling the effects of the previous evening's festivites. And there's no better cure than Dunkin ' Donuts for the morning after.

After everyone left our apartment, Jonathan and I went over to his parents' house. It was a good way to start of the year.  His parents always have such a great spread of good food on New Year's and who are we to pass up free food (especially when you're hungover)? All of Jon's siblings were around too, so it was a full house. I actually had a really good time! It was so fun just sitting around hanging out. We played Apples to Apples for almost four hours... it was ridiculous and suprisingly competitve among the siblings.

After such a great holiday break, I didn't want to go back to the "real world." It  was definitely brutal.

Another update coming soon.... then hopefully I'll be up to date!

Holiday Fun (Part 1)!

Happy 2005, everyone!

I can't believe the holidays came and went by so quickly. And now it's back to cubicle land.

I spent the beginning of the holidays in NJ with the family. It started off with the first annual Butter "Ball" with the ladies of Mary Lou Hale's School of Dance. We had dinner at a tavern where the dinner conversation revolved around a sexual innuendo about pickles. Interesting, to say the least. Then it was off to a bar for karaoke night. It was really fun to see all of the ladies again. I can't even describe how much I miss them girls. But I couldn't help feeling just a little out of place since I'm not around all the time and don't know what's been going on with everyone. I never thought I'd feel like that around them, but I guess that's part of growing up. But I still enjoyed their company immensely.

Christmas Eve was spent at my uncle's house in East Stroudsburg. It was a lot of fun being with the family. My cousin Mark was entertaining us all with his stories and antics. I love having such a big family and so many cousins, and I don't see them enough so I had a really good time.

We left a little past midnight and then went back to the house to do our own gift exchange. My mom and bro seemed to really like the gifts I got them so that made me happy. They deserve good things because they're the greatest family ever.

The couple of days after Christmas were spent lounging around the house with my mom and brother. That was extremely relaxing and I loved every minute of it. My brother and I played hours of video games together just like when we were kids. We beat Halo together... now I'm all geared up for the second one. That's for the next visit home.

I came back down to PA to spend some of the break with Jonathan. We both had the week off so we thought we'd catch some of the sites around the Philly area. One night we went to Longwood Gardens to see the Christmas lights (yes, more! can't get enough.) They had this beautiful fountain display that was choreographed to music and all lit up. We also went to the conservatory to see all of the flowers and Christmas displays.... but it was sooo freakin' long and the line took forever to go through it. By the end of it, I wanted to stab myself in the eye.

The next day, we went into Philly and walked around South Street and had some lunch. Then we went ice skating at Penn's Landing. I quickly realized how ungraceful I am on ice skates. And it was funny to watch all the people fall. And.the view of the river was fantastic. Tons of fun. You all should go.

And that is part 1 on the holiday fun.. I'll update about NYE another time. I'm tired of typing now.

Alright, folks... leave comments, damn it! I'm out like your mom in a beauty contest.
